Phytoplankton Indicators in the Assessment of the Ecological Status of Two Reservoirs with Different Purposes in Southern Ukraine

A comparison of two closely located reservoirs on the Southern Bug River and its tributary in southern region Ukraine is carried out. One them (Tashlyk reservoir a small river, River) cooling (pond) for nuclear power plant, other (Alexandrovskoye reservoir, used agricultural purposes, production electricity at hydroelectric as lower pumped storage plant. Comparison main indicators phytoplankton was out together with spatial distribution. It found that distribution coenotic groups plankton corresponds to thermal conditions. In Alexandrovskoye separate communities are formed along length. The description indicator species algae given. important role catchment basin demonstrated statistical maps. shown significant increase temperature pond did not lead depletion phytoplankton.
